Systems for the Senses

In a society where connection is increasingly curated by algorithms and mediated by digital communication, what are the spaces that still force connection across boundaries?

What are the spaces where we connect with our senses and one another, where activities or common necessity brings us together in physical proximity? What can we learn from those spaces?

To begin to answer, we look at one such space: the youth travel soccer field. Before children age into divisions of elite training or privileged education or participation taper, there is the common bond of the town travel team. What sustains this world in a divided society? What threatens it?
